The addition of a new buffer cell means that our expert in-house team can now offer CWE customers complete overhaul of both hydraulic and mechanical buffers.
The CWE buffer cell has been custom-designed from scratch, giving us the opportunity to create a planned layout that takes technical specifications into consideration. It means our customers get a service that is faster, leaner and more cost-effective, along with the usual high quality of workmanship you would expect from an experienced, RISAS accredited supplier.
A failure to properly implement buffer maintenance schedules can lead to costly down-time for your rolling stock and a real headache for your organisation.
We believe that regular buffer maintenance is a must-have and are working with the industry to better-understand buffer lifecycles, so that we can develop a lean, efficient and future-fit maintenance process for this critical part – and offer the best possible service for our customers.
Certified to EN 15085 standards
CWE holds EN 15085 certification, so you can rest assured that all welding work we undertake complies with internationally acknowledged standards for the railway industry.
We can also provide you with access to TIG MIG MAG and MMA Coded welders to EN 9606-1 & ISO 15614-1 Part 1 and ASME 1X. EN5817 level C & EN1090-Table D.1, D.2 and are qualified in Magnetic Particle Inspection PCN Level 2 MPI & ASNT levels.
