At CWE, we’re committed to our role in helping to transform UK rail performance. We already provide one of the most efficient end-to-end rolling stock refurbishment solutions in the country, as well as a buffer service exchange option – designed to respond to urgent needs and keep downtime to a minimum.
The addition of a new buffer cell means that our expert in-house team can now offer CWE customers complete overhaul of both hydraulic and mechanical buffers.
The CWE buffer cell has been custom-designed from scratch, giving us the opportunity to create a planned layout that takes technical specifications into consideration. It means our customers get a service that is faster, leaner and more cost-effective, along with the usual high quality of workmanship you would expect from an experienced, RISAS accredited supplier.
A failure to properly implement buffer maintenance schedules can lead to costly down-time for your rolling stock and a real headache for your organisation.
We believe that regular buffer maintenance is a must-have and are working with the industry to better-understand buffer lifecycles, so that we can develop a lean, efficient and future-fit maintenance process for this critical part – and offer the best possible service for our customers.
