Rapid refurb and replacement of critical rail components
Rail is crucial to our nation’s economy. Downtime isn’t just costly for rail operators; it can also mean disruption to our wider transport and logistics infrastructure.
CWE is committed to ensuring freight and passenger rail organisations can keep their rolling stock on the tracks. We combine a depth of knowledge gained from 55 years experience in the rail industry with lean production processes and a flexible, ‘can do’ attitude, to make sure our customers get a faster service at a fairer price – without ever compromising on quality.
The benefits of working with CWE
Fast component sourcing – Some rolling stock can be 30-50 years old, making parts difficult to source. Our extensive stock catalogue acts as a digital encyclopaedia and can be used to cross reference current and obsolete parts, so you can easily identify what’s needed.
Comprehensive services – CWE supports rail operators throughout the rolling stock lifecycle from manufacture to parts testing and ‘service exchange’ – where ‘dirty’ parts can quickly be exchanged for refurbished equivalents.
Leaner processes – We take expert engineering services to our customers when and where they need us. Everything we do is designed to reduce waste, streamline processes and get rolling stock rapidly back on track.
Shorter downtimes, lower costs
CWE will always aim to reduce turnaround times on part replacement from weeks to days, so unnecessary downtime becomes a thing of the past. Our technical know-how is second to none, meaning we can often resolve issues on site and will aim to do so within 48 hours; reducing costs and carbon emissions, to get you back on track faster.
