CWE are proud to announce the installation of a life-saving device for the Crowle community.
Located in the heart of the CWE’s bustling centre of excellence, the automated external defibrillator is now positioned in a highly visible, easy-to-access area near the entrance, and is lit clearly at night. This strategic placement ensures that it can be quickly reached in the event of a cardiac emergency, minimising response times and potentially saving lives.
“Ensuring the health and safety of everyone who comes through our doors is our top priority” said Dave Bates, Managing Director at CWE. “By installing this defibrillator, we are taking a proactive step to ensure that we are prepared for any emergency, and that anyone who needs access to a defibrillator in the Crowle area, including our local residents can do so easily. Early access to a defibrillator can make all the difference in a life-threatening event, and we want to make sure that we have the tools and resources necessary to respond effectively.”
The defibrillator has been selected for its ease of use, with clear audio and visual instructions to guide users through the process. It is designed to be operable by individuals with no medical training, making it an invaluable tool for staff members or bystanders during a critical incident.
The installation is part of a larger initiative at CWE to create a safer environment for all. They recently introduced a series of new health and safety measures, including updated first aid training for staff, new fire safety measures and enhanced emergency preparedness protocols.
