The Crowle-based Centre of Excellence for Rail brings together all of CWE’s capabilities under one roof, combining our hydraulic and mechanical buffer cell and its coupler refurbishment facility. As a result, our rail sector customers benefit from a more efficient service with easy access to the relevant parts and expertise at one site.

The Centre also enables CWE to meet several of its service, maintenance and environmental goals. Our maintenance, refurbishment and replacement services for vital components are specifically designed to keep rolling stock on the tracks for longer, minimising downtime and reducing carbon emissions.
