Crowle Wharf Engineers Ltd (CWE) was established in 1966 to work in the power, steel and rail industries. It now has two sites; Crowle and Worksop employing 44 people.
The business is over 60% rail with bogies and parts refurbished and manufactured at Crowle and a specialist coupler site at Worksop.
CWE carries out machining, fabrication and NDT of components.
Certified to ISO9001:2008, BS EN 1090 Exc 2 CE Marking, MPI PCN L2. Coded welders with MIG, TIG, MMA and submerged arc capabilities. Machining is both manual and CNC with CNC boring on a 2500mm cube.

This week CWE despatched the first couplers from its new Worksop facility. CWE have been working on the facility since last Autumn and have installed a CNC machine shop and coupler refurbishment shop. An official opening will take place in the autumn.read more
