Crowle Wharf Engineers Ltd (CWE) was established in 1966 to work in the power, steel and rail industries. It now has two sites; Crowle and Worksop employing 44 people.
The business is over 60% rail with bogies and parts refurbished and manufactured at Crowle and a specialist coupler site at Worksop.
CWE carries out machining, fabrication and NDT of components.
Certified to ISO9001:2008, BS EN 1090 Exc 2 CE Marking, MPI PCN L2. Coded welders with MIG, TIG, MMA and submerged arc capabilities. Machining is both manual and CNC with CNC boring on a 2500mm cube.

CWE dispatch the first couplers from its new Worksop facility
This week CWE despatched the first couplers from its new Worksop facility. CWE have been working on the facility since last Autumn and have installed a CNC machine shop and coupler refurbishment shop. An official opening will take place in the autumn.
