As part of its continued growth strategy, CWE, the leading independent supply, maintenance and logistics partner for the rail industry, has partnered with MCL Rail, an independent, family run company dedicated to providing the highest quality rail storage solutions across the UK.
The firms are, therefore, a perfect fit for working with CWE – with our 5+ decades of experience in the rail industry and positive attitude, providing services from shot-blasting, painting, repairs and refurbishment of critical parts through to supply chain support and project management. Key services include our industry-leading buffer and coupler overhaul services, bogie and wagon modifications and general repair.
The wagon general repair work is being carried out at MCL’s Gascoigne Wood site in North Yorkshire. Services we are working together to provide include shotblasting, painting, and repairs and refurbishment projects.
Mark Lickley, MCL Managing Director, MCL Group said:
“We are delighted to have CWE as our partner and use one of our key sites for engineering activities on different types of Rolling Stock. We have worked in collaboration with the CWE team for several months to ensure we develop the right solution for both our current and future clients within the rail industry. Both organisations have skills and expertise which provides a ‘end-to-end solution provider’ solution to the industry. We are also looking forward to expanding our future offerings in partnership with CWE.”
Nick Andrew, Managing Director at CWE said:
“At CWE, we believe in collaboration between our fellow businesses in the rail industry. Working together gives us the opportunity to bring together our different, specific expertise for the benefit of all of our clients. We are delighted to be working from MCL’s superb site. From a company perspective, this is just another step forward in 2023 for CWE as we continue to grow at pace.”
