CWE Ltd – the independent supply, maintenance and logistic partner for the rail industry, based in Crowle – has announced the appointment of Tom Johnson as Operations Manager.

Tom has worked in manufacturing since 2006 and brings a wealth of experience to the company. Since starting his career as an apprentice, his previous positions have included test technician, project manager, continuous improvement manager, as well as a supervisor, production manager and operations manager.

In his new role, Tom will be responsible for all of CWE’s manufacturing and overhaul activities both on and off site. This includes health and safety, production, purchasing and logistics.

Commenting on his appointment, he said:

“I am excited to be leaving the corporate environment to join CWE, where I’ll have significant influence over how the business is run. It’s a critical but exciting time for the rail industry, and I’m looking forward to being part of it by working with our customers and the rest of the CWE team.”
