Component Design & Analysis
We are able to reverse engineer and re-engineer components for customers. This is often required when components are so worn as to be almost unrecognisable. This can also be required when drawings are either scarce or non-existent.
CWE work with a number of outside design houses from time to time, where detailed CAD models or structural calculations are required. Our core skills are in inspection and assessment of worn parts. With years of experience, enhanced by modern equipment such as the FARO arm for 3D coordinate measurement.
Examples of our design and analysis include railway couplers and bars, railway bogies, material handling conveyors and components for screens. CWE makes pipework for “hot tapping” where damage to pipelines is repaired. Since the start, CWE has made and refurbished large fabrications for the power and steel industries.
